In addition to all of the Doppelganger abilities that you have come to expect from this extraordinary book effect (no peeks, no fishing, no stooges, completely examinable and even wholly readable from cover-to-cover (without tipping the method), multiple presentational possibilities from seance room to walk-around to stage, &c. &c.), The Phantom of the Opera Doppelganger includes several unique and very special features such as 'bled' or 'bleeding' pages (resulting from the infamous 'Bobbs-Merrill technique' prevalent from 1909 to 1914), tipped-in (by hand) full-colour glossy images from the original 1911 US printing, and the long-awaited 'guaranteed' threat finale (allowing for a presentation with a genuinely 'big' ending that absolutely insists on being the end).

And, yes, yet again the ageing technique is different than other Doppelgangers to aid in the illusion of this book having a unique history.

As with all Doppelganger books, each volume of The Phantom of the Opera is aged by hand and comes with its own uniquely numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The Phantom of the Opera Doppelganger is a slightly cleaner, tighter book than other Doppelgangers, reflecting the reality of it having been a less popular and less read book in its time (Erik the Phantom is more famous in cinema and on stage than as a literary creation). As such, The Phantom of the Opera continues the Doppelganger tradition of creating a truly random-seeming collection of rare and valuable first-edition books.

As to size, The Phantom of the Opera is a little larger than the previous Doppelganger books (except Shakespeare) being slightly thicker, taller, and wider than either the Poe or Conan Doyle Doppelgangers, again assisting the illusion of a random book in your library of 'killers'.
